The #AgItForward Story
The main purpose of #AgItForward is to promote the importance of agriculture in communities throughout our country. As a generation, we can continue to realize the importance of human connections and value the tradition of paying our knowledge forward.
Why are we doing this?
What for?
#AgItForward is to encourage high school FFA / Agriculture students to connect with others in their own state and across the nation. In today’s society, teenagers rarely ever send others anything in the mail, and only connect via social media. However, this project will combine traditional pen pal methods blended with current trends of popular social media.
Purpose
We hope to foster connections among students and to learn about what students across the nation are experiencing, planning and participating in through their FFA Chapter and throughout the agriculture industry. Additionally, we hope to spread Agriculture Literacy among students in our own FFA chapter and among agriculture teachers.
